This is float therapy at Blue Rose.
Also known as sensory deprivation therapy, float therapy promotes deep physical and mental restoration by minimizing external input and allowing your nervous system to reset.
Inside a private float suite, you’ll step into a light-filled Ocean Float Room filled with skin-temperature water and over 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. The result is effortless flotation and a full-body sense of release.
Everyone has their own reason, but most people come for one (or more) of these: stress relief, pain management, mental clarity, or just a true reset. Floating can help reduce anxiety, improve focus, ease inflammation, and even support creative breakthroughs. It’s also a favorite for athletes and anyone dealing with chronic pain.
In short, just about everyone. Float therapy is helpful for people managing stress, working through pain or injury, navigating burnout, or just wanting to feel better in their own skin. We see parents, athletes, teachers, first responders, creatives, and people from all walks of life.
Teens aged 15+ can float with a signed parent or guardian consent form. Ages 10–14 can float with a guardian present in the studio. Younger kids (5–10) can float with a parent or guardian in our double float room. If your child is curious, we’re happy to chat more to see if it’s a good fit.
Yes, we offer a double float room for couples, friends, or family members who want to share the experience. The only thing we ask is that you treat the room as the healing space it is. This isn’t the place for intimacy or anything physical. The saltwater is intense, and we do test the water for cleanliness between every session. If we find evidence of any inappropriate behavior, you’ll be charged for a full system cleaning and won’t be invited back.
Many people benefit from floating together with partners during pregnancy, caregivers with someone who requires physical support, parents and children who want to try it together, or even two friends who want to unwind side by side. The double room offers connection, comfort, and accessibility without compromising the experience.
You have complete control over your experience. The goal is to immerse yourself in a sensory-free experience, but you have control over the lights and sound. You can float in silence and darkness, or you can keep on the starlit ceiling and soft music playing – it’s entirely up to you!
This is completely valid. The cabins are very spacious, not small pods. They’re more like full-sized, walk-in tubs with tall ceilings. You can also choose to leave the door open or hop out at any time. Most people find that the space feels expansive once they’ve settled in and can completely relax. If you’d prefer to see the room before booking, please call us to schedule a time.
You’ll feel the effects after just one, but like anything else, floating gets better with practice. The more you float, the more therapeutic it can be each time. Many people find themselves floating weekly to allow them to maintain the benefits.
We’ve got you covered with almost everything. We provide towels, earplugs, robes, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, hair dryers, and more. We’d recommend bringing your own brush and cosmetics if you plan to get ready after.
You’re in a completely private suit, so most people float nude. That said, you can absolutely float in your suit if you’re more comfortable that way.
Yes, VERY. Saltwater is naturally antimicrobial, and we filter it between every single session using advanced filtration, UV, and ozone systems. We also hand-check and test water levels and pH between every float. The float tanks basically contain the cleanest water you’ll ever step foot in.
That’s great if you do – it means you reached ultimate relaxation. The salt will keep you safely afloat on your back, and the soft music and lights will turn on to gently wake you up when your session is nearing the end. If needed, a staff member will call in or knock after your time is up.
Saltwater isn’t dangerous or harmful to you, it just won’t feel very good. If you do feel a sting or touch your eye, nose, or mouth with saltwater, each room has a clean towel and a freshwater spray bottle just in case you need it.
You can, but we recommend removing them, especially in case you do happen to get any saltwater in your eye. And if you do forget to bring your contact case, we have solution and extra cases available.
We do provide earplugs for you if you’d prefer to use them. They’re optional, but helpful, especially to keep the saltwater out of your ears. We also have rinse solution and Q-tips for after if you opt not to use them, since you will get saltwater in your ears. It’s your experience, so you can choose how you float!
Yes, with your doctor’s approval. Floating can relieve pressure, ease back pain, and support deeper rest. Our double float room is also a great option if you want to bring a support person.
Yes! The magnesium in Epsom salt can help some skin conditions, but any open or irritated skin might sting. We’ll give you Vaseline to cover small spots.
Yes, with the same precautions you’d take while swimming. Magnesium can help ease symptoms in some individuals.
Floating isn’t recommended if you have open wounds, uncontrolled epilepsy, active infections, or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
While it’s possible to drown in any liquid, the water is just 10 inches deep and extremely buoyant, so you’ll float effortlessly. The room is ventilated and never airtight. You’re safe the entire time.
No. Saltwater can damage or irritate healing skin. Please wait at least 4–6 weeks after a tattoo or until a piercing is fully healed (check with your artist if you’re unsure).
No. We only recommend floating once your hair is completely rinsed out and no color comes out during your shower or on pillows and towels. If your hair is freshly dyed, please reschedule your float. If any color transfers into our tank, you’ll be responsible for cleaning fees.
No. Avoid shaving, tanning, waxing, or anything else that would increase the sensitivity of your skin. We will provide vaseline in each pod suite to protect any small cuts and grazes from stinging.
